After using BE for years, I noticed that the powders were not longer flattering on my skin. It settled into the wrinkles and actually made me look older. After trying various brands of creams, liquids and powders, I was ready to give up and just go without foundation altogether. Fortunately, I gave Smash box a try.
I only wear foundation for going out and prefer a simpler routine for everyday. I've been using the Halo powder for six months and it is the best powder over all. For everyday use, I wash, moisturize, sunscreen, then finish with the Halo. So easy and portable too! It evens out skin color, looks and feels natural like you aren't wearing anything at all. And for those who are age 40 and up, this powder can smooth out your skin like no other. I was convinced after applying the powder on just half my face; the difference was amazing. I like using a big powder brush for the best effect. A light application works for for me, but you can add more if want to build more coverage.
When I go out, I add a primer, and for special occasions, I also add the High Definition foundation before using the Halo. Again, these give me a light and natural look, which is best once those wrinkles start to appear. I don't write up reviews unless the product is really outstanding and Halo was the answer to my makeup problem.
Last, I used this powder on my daughter for her senior portraits. Flawless! When the photos were enlarged, her skin looked perfect. :)

The product its self is like diamond. I co rarely find a powder that works for my skin type and in my color at a price like this. It's great for touch up and an all over look if you don't need much coverage. The shipping was very fast but the product didnt come with the brush like it shows in the picture which is very disappointing.

This is an AWESOME powder. It's a bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it, in my opinion. I think it makes my skin look younger and healthier. It's also very natural looking and has good staying power. I am taking off one star for the brush it comes with, though, which is complete junk. The bristles are harsh and they come off all over your face, which is super annoying. I threw the brush away and am using a Too Face brush instead. Other than that, Halo is fabulous! Go get some today.
